Analytics balanced with creative flair
With a degree in Economics and Business Law, Rachel started her early career in Investment Banking, yet her creativity and passion for words and design saw her move into the field of marketing. She has over 14 years' corporate experience and 3 years' freelance.
Rachel led her first marketing team, less than 1 year into her first marketing post. Her creative eye for detail and communication skills were quickly recognised. She revised the website to improve the customer journey and engagement points as well as redesigning the new business pitch collateral. She also identified cost saving opportunities to reduced marketing spend.
After deciding to hang up her commuting shoes, Rachel went on to lead a UK channel marketing team of marketing specialists for a global Japanese technology company. Her sleeves rolled up mentality, saw her become very involved in go-to-market plans and campaigns; including a very colourful Festival of Print, new product rollouts and promotional campaigns.
Following a move due to family relocation, Rachel went on to lead a marketing and new business function, sitting on the sub-brand board, for a large FTSE 100 company. It was here that Rachel decided she wanted to bring her big brand experience, knowledge and marketing skills to support SMEs and start ups.
Rachel launched So What Marketing as a boutique marketing business in 2017 and has had the pleasure of supporting numerous SMEs wherever they are in their business journey. She is very involved in all of her client's businesses creating tailored plans for their needs. Often she goes over and above as she is passionate about seeing their businesses thrive.
